Dear Friends,
I don’t know about you, but at the start of the New Year I have this feeling of running a little behind schedule. I’m not sure exactly why, but with the holiday break now behind us (and what a long break it was this year!), I’m feeling the urge to make new plans, organize events, and get ready for “the season” ahead.
So, here’s what – so far – you can expect from TPW in 2025: we already have five workshops lined up, and I’m working on two/three more… but those are top secret for now. Stay tuned for the big reveal soon!
In the meantime, take a look at this list, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or suggestions, and let’s get ready for another exciting year of sharing our photography with the TPW community.

We will start with our traditional workshop in Venice, run by Giacomo Brunelli. The right moment to visit Venice, when the carnival is over and the city is not full of tourists…the real Venice.

Surprised by the Unpredictable
Bari, Italy
We are continuing our workshop with one of TPW most loved workshops, Surprised by the Unpredictable with Anders Petersen.
After exploring Italy’s major cities, this year we will be in Bari.
Such an amazing place, a concentrate of art, Italian culture, tradition and top culinary experience.
And, of course, Anders Petersen, who, like a pied piper, will be your mentor, preparing you to face every day’s unpredictable events. Relax, grab your camera, walk along the narrow streets of Old Bari, and get lost in one of Italy most unexplored cities.

Easter Processions in Sicily – A Journey into Tradition and Culture
In 2000, we held our first workshop outside Tuscany, venturing to Sicily during the Easter processions in the Palermo area. It was a magical experience, but after two years, it became too crowded. Tourists and photographers seemed to outnumber the pilgrims, and we knew it was time to move on.
We found a new “home” on the east coast of Sicily, exploring the towns of Siracusa, Modica, and Scicli. Each had its own unique Easter rituals, and over the years, we fell in love with the area’s authenticity, charm, and quieter, more intimate atmosphere.
Twenty years later, the memories still linger, filling us with nostalgia. So, we thought: Why not bring the workshop back?
Renowned photographer Andrea Pistolesi, who was with us back then, is just as enthusiastic about returning. We’ll base ourselves in Scicli, a small town that comes alive during Easter. For three days, it transforms into a vivid representation of Christ’s Passion, attracting both pilgrims and locals returning home to celebrate with family. Scicli offers a window into the daily life of Sicily—far removed from the touristy bustle of Palermo and Catania.
In the days leading up to Easter, each town in Sicily holds processions re-enacting the Passion of Christ, blending Christian and pagan elements into unique, deeply felt rituals. We will immerse ourselves in this extraordinary experience, capturing the soul of Sicily through our lenses.

Vassilis Pitoulis

May 11-16 2025
We have already organized three workshops with Vassilis Pitoulis. Two in Syvota, Greece, and one in Italy.
In 2025 we will be in Sicily.
A location brimming with colour, culture, and creativity. Picture yourself capturing the essence of this magical island, – from the little towns, to the beaches, to hidden ruins, and experience a full immersion in an ancient culture.
We will be shooting at our villa, and will explore hidden location in the Val di Noto area, stop in the middle of nowhere or in artistic town such as Noto, Siracusa, Modica. Visit natural reserves, and hopefully – weather permitting – be able to swim in crystal clear water.
Vassilis will apply his energy and generosity in sharing his knowledge, with the help of very professional models, for an immersive nude and figure workshop.

Memories, dreams, fantasies and myths.
“Dreams are private myths; myths are public dreams” Joseph Campbell, American Mythologist.
Use the mesmerising ancient town of Siracusa as a platform to explore your subconscious story, what lies within you. Over the course of a week, you’ll be guided through group tutorials, tailored feedback, and experimentation to develop or start an on-going photography project. This workshop is designed to help you reconnect with your inner voice and express it through visual storytelling using memories, dreams, fantasies and myths.
