We are working on schedule for 2027 now! We will offer some of the classic workshop, and will also add some brand new classes and authors as well... Where? TPW AUTUMN WORKSHOP VASSILIS PITOULIS • BODY & SO TPW AUTUMN WORKSHOP VASSILIS PITOULIS • BODY & SOUL October 11–17, 2026 Crete, Greece Next October we return to Greece for a unique photographic experience with renowned photographer Vassilis Pitoulis. This will be our fourth creative workshop in Greece, and this time we’ll explore the extraordinary island of Crete, famous for its incredible light and ideal October temperatures. As Europe’s southernmost island, it is also easily accessible thanks to its two international airports. Crete offers an extraordinary variety of landscapes: pristine beaches, inland valleys, ancient villages, mysterious forests and breathtaking canyons. Throughout the week we will photograph our models in diverse and evocative locations, capturing the island’s vibrant soul through our lenses. The workshop will cover many aspects of working with models, including publishing, exhibiting in galleries, fashion and fine-art photography, shooting fashion and nude, stock photography, and collaborating with agencies and models. Each participant will have the freedom to photograph the models in their preferred locations. October is the perfect season to experience Greece: the weather remains pleasantly warm, the light is exceptional, and the summer crowds have disappeared. We will announce the exact venue soon. Our aim is to host everyone in the same accommodation, or in a main house with nearby studios, creating an even more collaborative and inspiring atmosphere. This will be a truly immersive experience, combining photography sessions, portfolio reviews, shared moments and the discovery of Crete’s culture, landscapes and traditions, all under the expert guidance of Vassilis. In the recent years, we have decided to suspend our classes during the hot summer months: too many people on the move, hard to find transportation, rates very expensive, long lines to have to eat out or just having a coffee… Better wait till the end of Summer, where we can enjoy the rhythm of our workshop at a better pace, with less people and cool temperatures. We will meet again in September, with a workshop in Rome with Giacomo Brunelli, then in Puglia, south of Italy, with Gabrielle Duplantier, and finally in Greece with Vassilis Pitoulis. TPW AUTUMN WORKSHOP VASSILIS PITOULIS • BODY & SO TPW AUTUMN WORKSHOP VASSILIS PITOULIS • BODY & SOUL October 11-17, 2026 Crete, Greece Vassilis Pitoulis and I started working together in 2023, and since then we have run many workshops, in Greece and in Italy. We had planned a sabbatical year for 2026, but…we love so much to work together and share time, we have become very close friends and we can count on a solid group of friends who love to participate to our workshops. So, even if it is a bit last-minute, here we are again. Catching the last light of the season, in Crete, Greece, the southernmost island in Europe. A great pleasure to work with her (our first time!) and with Noémie and Claire. We had an intimate group of photographers (after all, the title of the workshop was Intimacy…) We run from antique ruins, to nudist beaches with sand dunes, to the cosy atmosphere of a Sicilian small tow,…and we came back every night to our camp base to enjoy true Sicilian food! We are just back from a one-week workshop with And We are just back from a one-week workshop with Anders Petersen in Turin. It was so intense that I had no time to post anything about the week. Between morning lesson, critiques, shooting, editing, and enjoying the Torino cooking, days turned out to be very long. But everybody was happy. Anders was at its best, critiquing work, telling anecdotes, exploring the past and contemporary world of photography… Most people left the workshop saying: it should have lasted two more days! During this workshop, we will move beyond the obvious and discover Rome’s quieter, hidden corners, far from the well-trodden tourist routes. Like all great cities, Rome reveals itself on many levels: from the monumental grandeur scattered across its streets to the humble neighbourhoods and rioni where the true soul of the city quietly lives. After a day or two, amazement becomes a constant companion. Every turn reveals something new — a church, a fountain, a crowded street, a local market, fragments of everyday life. Slowly, almost without noticing, you find yourself completely immersed in beauty — La Grande Bellezza. Rome is romantic and chaotic, loud yet intimate, rich in contrasts and emotions. TPW - TOSCANA PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKSHOP TPW SPRING WO TPW - TOSCANA PHOTOGRAPHIC WORKSHOP TPW SPRING WORKSHOP 2025 Sicily, April 16-22, 2025 Easter Processions in Sicily – A Journey into Tradition and Culture In 2000, we held our first workshop outside Tuscany, venturing to Sicily during the Easter processions in the Palermo area. It was a magical experience, but after two years, it became too crowded. Tourists and photographers seemed to outnumber the pilgrims, and we knew it was time to move on. We found a new “home” on the east coast of Sicily, exploring the towns of Siracusa, Modica, and Scicli. Each had its own unique Easter rituals, and over the years, we fell in love with the area’s authenticity, charm, and quieter, more intimate atmosphere. More than twenty years ago we started our workshops during the Easter processions in Sicily. Twenty years later, the memories still linger, filling us with nostalgia. So, we thought: why not bring the workshop back? Renowned photographer Andrea Pistolesi, who was with us back then, is just as enthusiastic about returning. We’ll base ourselves in Scicli, a small town that comes alive during Easter. For three days, it transforms into a vivid representation of Christ’s Passion, attracting both pilgrims and locals returning home to celebrate with family. Scicli offers a window into the daily life of Sicily—far removed from the touristy bustle of Palermo and Catania.
