Dear friends,
we are getting close to summer, the season where we used to concentrate most of our workshops. We have changed recently: we run less in the summer and we spread out other classes during the year. Why? Non a particular reason, we found out recently that many people prefer to spend time with their families, and cut a week for their passion for photography in a different time of the year…
Still, summer is when we started our adventure thirty years ago, the legendary Tuscan Summer, and we are attached to it like a magnet, despite the heath and sometimes the crowds…

We are just back from Genoa, where we run an amazing workshop with Anders Petersen…What a great week! Genoa is a magic place, unique in its own way, and once again the mix of students created a fantastic atmosphere. Of course, the presence of Anders Petersen as our leader made the whole week unforgettable…
We’ll be back there soon!

SUMMER AT VILLA LINA

The central weeks in August are reserved to Villa Lina, our buen retiro in northern Lazio (one hour from Rome). Here as usual we will find the magic atmosphere of this beautiful isolated estate, while all the rest of Italy is packed with vacationers.
Depending of the workshop you choose, you can either spend the days with lectures and shooting, in the estate and in nearby town of Ronciglione, or explore the area around us, called Tuscia Viterbese, one of Italy’s best kept secrets.
We have scheduled four workshops, distributed on two weeks.

SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER WORKSHOPS

As mentioned above, we’ve decided to have more workshops out of the summer season…
We will start with a totally new workshop, in Greece, tought by internationally renowned photographer Vassilis Pitoulis. We will use the light of late summer to work with model and create stunning photographs of nude and portraits in the magic Greek landscape. It will be a new experience for us all, and we are very much looking forward to it.  First time TPW goes to Greece!

Martin Bogren • Your Inner Vision
Palermo, Italy
October 7-13, 2023

We have been to Palermo before, and we had Martin Bogren as a teacher at our workshops before. This time we’ll put together the two and will run a workshop in one of our favourite places, the very essence of Sicily, with the sublime, mysterious and oneiric photography of Martin Bogren. I am sure participants will be able to produce something special.

Cari amici,
Ci stiamo avvicinando all’estate, la stagione dove usavamo concentrare i nostri workshop. Recentemente abbiamo cambiato formato: meno corsi durante l’estate, e più nei mesi primaverili e autunnali. Perché? Non c’è proprio una ragione particolare, abbiamo però notato che molti preferiscono passare tempo con le proprie famiglie e amici, e magari ritagliarsi una settima durante l’anno da dedicare alla propria passione per la fotografia…
Ciò nonostante, l’estate è quando è cominciata la nostra avventura trenta anni fa, una mitica estate Toscana, e siamo affezionati a questo periodo dell’anno, nonostante il caldo e le folle (ma con un po’ di accorgimenti riusciamo ad evitare entrambe, a Villa Lina!)

Ecco le novità.

Nel 2023, TPW compierà ufficialmente trenta anni! Avevamo anticipato l’evento con la pubblicazione del nostro libro l’anno scorso, ma la data ufficiale è 2023 !
Per celebrare questo traguardo, offriamo il 20% di sconto sui corsi estivi a Villa Lina.
E’ un grande impegno da parte di nostra, ma ci teniamo a condividere con voi, che ci avete seguito negli anni, e con i nuovi amici, questo traguardo. È sufficiente che vi iscriviate nella maniera tradizionale, e successivamente vi contatteremo per applicare la riduzione.

Torniamo ai nostri programmi e controllate le date, state in contatto attraverso i canali social. E naturalmente, alla vecchia maniera, mandate una mail!
Nelle settimane tra la fine di Luglio e inizio Agosto ci troverete a Villa Lina, nella Tuscia laziale. Mentre il resto d’Italia è preso d’assedio da turisti e vacanzieri, i boschi di Villa Lina provvederanno a isolarci dal resto del mondo.

WORKSHOP SETTEMBRE E OTTOBRE

Come scritto sopra, abbiamo deciso di avere workshop anche in periodi meno affollati…
Cominceremo con un progetto totalmente nuovo, in Grecia, insieme al fotografo Vassilis Pitoulis. Useremo la luce di fine estate per lavorare con modelle e creare immagini di ritratto e nudo nel paesaggio greco, dalle spiagge, ai boschi e agli esterni. Sarà una nuova esperienza per tutti noi e Vassilis, le modelle ed io siamo tutti pronti e entusiasti del progetto. Il workshop è limitato a 9 partecipanti ed è già quasi pieno.
